Established in 1987, Turfco began as a small family-owned and operated business.
Today, more than 35 years later, our team still includes members of our founding family but has also expanded to make up the great group of 16 we have today! Each staff member is local to the Shoalhaven & Illawarra region and all share a passion for customer service and turf.

Marcus – Turf farmer
Marcus is a second-generation Turf Farmer born and bred in the turf industry with his dad Gavin, starting Turfco back in 1987. Naturally, Marcus has a passion for turf with years of experience. He knows our business inside out!
Julie – Sales Manager
Julie is our cheerful and driven Sales Manager! She is also the staff titled ‘Mum’ of our Turfco family. You will see Julie out on the road in the Turfco Ute visiting our loyal customers helping them out wherever possible, even if that means laying turf!
Lisa – Accounts
Lisa is our Accounts wizard, always working hard behind the scenes at Turfco. Lisa is a quiet achiever and is a key part at Turfco being involved in all aspects of the business to make sure everything runs smoothly dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s.
Bree – Logistics & Sales
Bree is our Logistics & Sales superstar. Bree is the first point of call when you ring the Turfco office and organises our fleet of trucks day to day. She is the gracious & helpful voice behind Turfco and is well-known for her lovely customer service!
Georgia – Marketing & Sales
Georgia is our Marketing & Sales guru helping customers on the phones with tricky turf questions or behind the scenes with emails. Georgia is responsible with all the magic on our social platforms and everything online! Always working hard for content and a handy drone pilot!
Scott – Turfco Cow Artist, Turf Harvester & Truck Driver
Scott is our longest-standing employee, with over 30 years at Turfco under his belt. Scott is a man of many Turfco Talents but is most known by the community for his skills with a paintbrush – Scott is the brilliant artist behind our famous Turfco Cows.
Matt – Truck Driver & Handy Man
Matt is our friendly self-titled Steering Wheel Attendant (AKA Truck Driver), taking service with a smile to a whole new level! Matt is always up for a chat and happy to share his wisdom. Matt is also very handy on the tools, being a great backup to Bear in the workshop.
Jed – Turf Installer & Truck Driver
Jed is our most experienced Turf Installer along with also delivering turf, priding himself on a beautiful, finished lawn. We estimate that Jed has laid nearly 1000 lawns during his time here at Turfco. If there is one person you want to lay your new lawn, it’s Jed!
Wayne “Strongy” – Turf Farmer
Wayne “Strongy” is our charismatic Turf Farmer, always busy travelling around our farms in a Tractor looking after all things turf. Strongy is most known around Turfco for his cheery attitude, passion and most importantly his banter. He also has another two passions, for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the local Berry Magpies!
Lachlan “Lachy” – Turf Farmer
Lachy is our Turf Farmer being with us since the day he left school. He is largely responsible for the chemical management and distribution across our 200 acres of turf. Lachy plays a key part in ensuring we deliver our customers the highest quality product with a smile!
Adam “Bear” – Workshop Mechanic
Bear is responsible for keeping our fleet of trucks, forklifts and tractors running smoothly. Bear is most often found working hard in his Bear Cave (the Turfco Workshop) utilising his vast skillset in fixing anything and everything!
Deejay – Farm Hand & Turf Installer
Deejay is a long-standing member of the Turfco family wearing many hats from installing turf to any task on the farm. Being with us for more than a decade now, Deejay is a wealth of knowledge and is happy to provide any advice when installing your new lawn.
Norm – Mower & Our Personal Florist
Norm has been around Turfco forever and is our chief Turf Curator but more importantly our personal florist. He is also the CEO of his own Timber Company, “Normill Timber”.
Glenn – Turf Harvester
Glenn is a recent addition to the Turfco Team, taking on the role of our main Turf Harvester. Glenn is a jack of all trades with not only a background in turf harvesting but anything from fencing to landscaping to scaffolding; you name it! Glenn is responsible for getting your turf from the ground onto a pallet, ready to be loaded onto our trucks for delivery!
Ross – Turf Farmer
Ross is another recent member of the Turfco Team, stepping into a Turf Farmer role. Ross is a mechanic by trade & a man of many talents, always happy to lend a hand wherever he’s needed. Ross is often seen travelling between our Berry & Jaspers Brush-based farms in one of our John Deere Tractors, partaking in a range of farm tasks. Ross’s biggest passion (besides turf) is maintaining the cleanest tractor we have ever seen!
